I've just committed .txt, .pdf and .word file indexing of binaryfiles into trunk ( rev. 2742 ). This means that you will be able to search the contents of these files.

You will need some external tools, see settings/binaryfile.ini for configuration.

Great!!!!

I am gonna switch the version from 3.02 to 3.1 or svn (if it is not for 3.1 yet) for our imminent release of an intranet portal (major milestone for ezp in-house project).

Thanks a lot

Fantastic!

Does someone know, how to index PPT files? When we can do this, too, I'm almost sure, that we will use 3.1 or 3.2 for our extranet portal soon :)

Indexing PPT should work somehow: Google is able to show PPT als HTML. This HTML could be searched/indexed (Text elements only, of course).
