eZ Publish on php5 is not officially supported yet, but there is a stable and good community port for php5 you can use, but you need to get it from svn: http://pubsvn.ez.no/nextgen_php5/stable/3.9/

Hi,
You have to use subversion to download all the files directly.
on a good os:
sudo apt-get install subversion
svn co http://pubsvn.ez.no/nextgen/unstable/2007-03-21-php5/ don't know about windows, but that's possible too. @Paul, What's the branch there then ? http://pubsvn.ez.no/nextgen_php5/unstable/ X+

Hi Xavier My work on the PHP5 community version has been committed to the nextgen repository some time ago, it's temporarily on the path that Paul mentioned and will be merged back to the trunk later on.

For windows you have a excellent little client called Tortoise Svn: http://tortoisesvn.tigris.org/

Hi
the unstable version of eZpublish on "http://pubsvn.ez.no/nextgen_php5/stable/3.9/"
is decomposed and I can download it step by step, I found in it the files that ressemble to those that I have in my diractory C:/eZpublish(I think I inderstand it), but when I downloaded the subversion from "http://subversion.tigris.org/downloads/subversion-1.4.4.zip" , I didn't inderstand how should I use it. would you indicate to me how can I use this version?
And if this version could realy resolve my problem? (the problem of compatibility of my site done with eZpublish3.9.1 and php5) I need more explication thank you.

try the link I put up, that program will add a menu on the right click menu to do a 'svn checkout' then you should do a 'export' (also from the right click menu) to remove all the svn versoning files.
But if you have total control over the server you could just checkout the php5 version directly there and do a update when the version in svn is updated.
A quick search on 'subversion commands' gave me this: http://svnbook.red-bean.com/en/1.1/ch09.html

You shouldn't get questions about user name and password, so read on this: http://ez.no/ezpublish/documentation/obsolete/installation/manual/getting_the_latest_ez_publish_source
Alternatively try the php5 version of version 3.10, it's is more php5 ready then the one you are trying to get: http://pubsvn.ez.no/nextgen/unstable/2007-03-21-php5/
