i've modified the user class and customized the login form and additional forms to require all the additional fields..
now i need to update this class... the idea is to permit the user update his contact info and personal stuff.. is there a way to update the user class via ezPublish? creating a class perhaps with certain permissions?? or is this doable only via handscripting? how would the form action be??
please anybody help on this.. im still new to ezPublish.. this is my first time on it.

Hi Fabricio,
is there a way to update the user class via ezPublish?
Of course, go to Setup->Classes in admin interface. Next choose Users class group. Then click edit button on the right for User class and add new attributes.

sorry i didnot explain myself correctly...
i meant is there a way a registerd user can modify his details. im storing all there info in the user class. til now i can only see how to create forms and permit users interact with classes if these are defined as content classes. but i've modified the user class instead and wish users to modify there info on this class. is there anyway to do this? and if it has to be hand coded how do i indicate ezPublish to read the template i've created for it?
thanks for your help.

Fabricio:you can enter the role where the users are stored and add rights to user modul, then choose the policy "selfedit". Choose password if they shall be able to change their own password.
Hope this works..never tested it before.

ok.. i found a way... searching the forum i found that you can permit an user to edit their profile by linking them to /base/user/edit/userid/.
this is pretty much what i needed.. with some custom work i'll get it towards what the client needs.. thanks.
