after install http 500 / 404 error (schlund server)

Dominik Stoeppel	Wednesday 30 July 2003 6:44:45 am hi, after install ezpublish on a webserver at schlund+partner I got these errors: - 500 if I start with mycompany.com/ezpublish/index.php and - 404 if I start with mycompany.com/ezpublish/index.php/admin the ezpublish setup gives no error messages. I read this message : http://www.ez.no/developer/ez_publish_3/forum/install_configuration/little_patch_for_puretec_schlund_servers but after these changes in ezsys.php the errors are same. I called the technical support, but they told me that the script needs too much memory. (after 5sec. no "feedback" from script) problem with the server or do I forgot something ? Regards Dominik
Tony Wood	Friday 01 August 2003 10:32:16 am Yep these errors are from the web server not eZ, it looks like its not getting to run the index.php. A good quick test is to replace index.php with your own code to start with, then when you get that working place the eZ one back in place. If i get this problem i check Web server with index.htm file Web server with my own index.php Web server with eZ index.php with check validity on Web server with eZ index.php with check validity off. Yep these errors are from the web server not eZ, it looks like its not getting to run the index.php.

A good quick test is to replace index.php with your own code to start with, then when you get that working place the eZ one back in place.

If i get this problem i check
Web server with index.htm file
Web server with my own index.php
Web server with eZ index.php with check validity on
Web server with eZ index.php with check validity off.
