Hello

I have enormous, browser-wide (chrome, opera, firefox, ie) problem with this part of installation.

Well, I can't upload any packages, nor can I select those offered (are they supposed to download then?). either way, nothing works and i get http 500 error, server not responding, and such. depending on the browser.

I ignored only timezone config during install, everything else went fine.

Please help. This is my first encounter with EZ publish, and it's not going well.

Hi Antonio, and welcome to the eZ Community!

Does the package selection page display properly ? You should see listed 4 or 5 different packages, with for each of them a thumbnail picture.

If this step is ok, do you have the page loading forever once selected a package and clicked "Next" (or "Install", can't remember the exact wording now) ?

Let us know,

You can download the packages by hand from here: http://packages.ez.no/ezpublish/4.3/4.3.0/

After downloading them, you can use the upload button to upload them to the eZP setup wizard.

It is normally done when the webserver unto which you are installing eZP cannot access the web (or if the web connection is too slow).

Besides clicking on the 'finetune' button on the 1st page of the setup wizard (I dunno why it is an optional step, it should be mandatory), it is very important to give enough memory and page execution time to php for the wizard to complete successfully. Check the values for max_execution_time and memory_limit in php.ini.

Another tip: in case of timeouts (web page responding but not all packages having downloaded properly from ez.no site), you can use the 'back' button to continue downloading until all of the packages are ok.

Thank you all for replies.

When any of the packages with thumbnails is selected, clicking "next" just calls an error "the website cannot display the page" in IE, for example. It's the same in all possible browsers.

Uploading package results in the same thing.

I am clueless. I have increased memory usage to 64mb and execution time to 160...

It sounds like an Apache crash or something similar. Have you checked the Apache/Webserver/PHP logs ?

Hm, where can I check for such logs? I am on a shared host using cPanel.
