Fatal error: /user/register

Hello,
When trying to access:
http://localhost/ezpublish-3.0-1/index.php//user/register/

I get:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /public_html/ezpublish-3.0-1/kernel/user/register.php on line 145
Fatal error: eZ publish did not finish it's request

The execution of eZ publish was abruptly ended, the debug output is present below.

Hello,
I got a problem when trying to cnfigure ezpublish3.01 using its associated index.php script.. this index.php works fine except problem in the database configuration and language configuration.. Skiped tedious warning messages, finally I got to registration step which I skiped too -> Done but doesn't get the web site!

So I configured ezpublish 2.96 using its associated index.php and copied the generated files "site.ini.php, setup.ini.php, image.ini.php, i18n.ini.php" to ezpublish3_root/settings/

and finally get it working.

MySql 4.0.12
PhP 4.1
Apache 1.3.9
