How to change left menu in Website Interface?

Hi all,

I'm very confused about how to change the left menu in ezPublish 4 with Website Interface.

What ini do I need to change to define the classes that are shown there?

I tried both contentstructuremenu.ini.append.php and menu.ini.append.php in settings/override/mysiteaccess/ to no avail.

I'd like to add some classes to the left menu, change the depth and root node and enable the Dynamic version (or is that only available in the Administration Interface?).

Sorry to ask this. I've tried pretty much everything but the information on ez.no is pretty confusing due to the changes that were made to the left menu over time. I don't know what information applies to the version I use.
