Hi there,

I had my EzPublish upgraded to version 3.5.10 and run a lot of images on the site.

I have noticed that certain .jpg images cause the site to give this error on both the front end when viewing the article and in the backend when I wish to edit the item causing me to delete the article and start again.

<b>Fatal error: eZ publish did not finish its request

The execution of eZ publish was abruptly ended, the debug output is present below.</b>

If I take the same image and photoshop it, re-saving it under the same filename, the article uploads fine.

Is this is a known problem? I have pages and pages of photo galleries that give this error.

Cheers
Matt

Hello Matt

Enable the debugging features ( see http://ez.no/community/forum/install_configuration/fatal_error_ez_publish_did_not_finish_its_request/#msg99842 ), you will get a useful PHP error message then.

Hi,

I also experienced some problems with images while upgrading (From 3.4 to 3.6). Not sure if this is the same thing, though.

The debug reported an error in ezImageHandler. The problem was solved when I changed my templates from this code:

{attribute_view_gui attribute=$node.object.data_map.thumbnail image_class=large href=$node.object.data_map.thumbnail.content.original.url|ezroot)}

... to this:

{attribute_view_gui attribute=$node.data_map.thumbnail image_class=large href=$node.data_map.thumbnail.content.original.url|ezroot}

Debug also reported some problems connected to file permissions on the server, so you might want to take a look at that as well.
