Installation wizard problems with 3.4.4

When trying to create a site installation wizard fails:

Fatal error: eZ publish did not finish its request

The execution of eZ publish was abruptly ended, the debug output is present below.

(No output)

HTTP error log has some more information:

This was a clean installation on a brand new Fedora Core 3 box. Everything (Apache, PHP+gd+mysql, MySQL) is installed from default Fedora RPM packages and ezPublish (or anything else for that matter) has not been installed before on this server.

I doubt that this error has anything to do with timeout. It takes just few seconds before the script is terminated, timeout is 90 secs in php.ini (and memory 16M). I did manage to install eZ publish manually, but I still got the same error on some parts of the administration.

I just did a new clean install, but this time with debug enabled. This is what I got when eZ publish is trying to build the site:

Thought about file permissions also crossed my mind and I already did set everything to 777 just to be sure. Httpd has been restarted for a number of times and server even rebooted after changing settings in php.ini. I think next thing I will try is setting memory and execution times to really high limits just to be sure.

Anyway I would rather suspect some kind of problem with file include paths or something like that. Unfortunately errors in debug output don't really help me at all, since I am not (yet) familar with how eZ publish really works. I have no idea if it is perfectly normal to get some debug warnings and errors while installing eZ publish. I am currently just trying hard to get it installed to evaluate it. It sure seems interesting enough product to invest some time in, but I wouldn't like to start studying any implementation details before getting really to know the system from administrators perspective.

Perhaps I'm just too lazy, it has been published as open source product after all.. thanks to eZ systems. :-)
