Installing EZP4 with Website Interface ver 1.3-0

Hi All,

I am new to eZ and am evaluating EZP4 for a project. I have installed the system with the 'Plain Site ver 1.1-2' without problems.

However, when I try to install the 'Website Interface ver 1.3-0' the last part of the install freezes for 35 seconds and then returns a blank page.

max_execution_time is set to 180, and the memory_limit is not set in the php.ini file (which I have no access to) so it should be defaulting to the 128MB (my hosting provider says that the 64MB limit for the install should not be a problem).

Is there a manual way to install the 'Website Interface' ??

I have looked in the various logs and tried debug mode but this is giving no clues.

All "Critical Tests" in the install are passed and all "Other Tests" pass except database_all_extensions and imagemagic_program

Any ideas / solutions would by greatly appreciated.

Many thanks ... Guy.

What operating system are you using?
Are there any error messages?
At which page exactly does the install freeze?

I'm no guru, but it seems that the fact that package uploads are involved is what is different with the second install.

CentOS 5 has a problem in that php-xml isn't normally installed, which causes problems for package uploads.

Is anything blocking your web access?

Hi Michael,

Many thanks for your reply.

The OS is CentOS. There are no error messages.

The install freezes after you press the next button on the page which sends comments to EZ.

I am not sure it is a download problem as I have been through the install process many times now and at the page where you select your package it has a 'downloaded' status against both the Plain and Website Interface packages.

fedora / redhat and hence CentOs doesn't enable the xml / dom extension by default(it's in the package system), so look for that first.

I solved a similar problem with CentOS 5.1 (not exactly the same, mine appeared at the package upload stage) simply by installing the php-xml package.

From memory, the php-xml package doesn't appear as an option at install time, but the package manager finds and installs it easily enough.
