I posted to say couldn't find the Admin panel. After checking email I sent to myself copying the install info, I found the url. My install is on a hosted site. Painless except for the size on a slow, rural phone connection. So far I've pulled a couple of error messages, I think simply from bad urls.
But some things failed the install:
php_magicquotes - Failure
database_all_extensions - Failure php_register_globals - Failure Are these significant? Also, discovered by chance, at least one directory has no index and is world-accessible (one of the design directories). Presumably several others in same state? My site has an "index manager." Should I use it? Final intro question -- online are SECURITY problems from about 2 years ago. http://www.derkeiler.com/Mailing-Lists/VulnWatch/2003-04/0025.html Have these been fixed? Guess I'll do search on that. I noticed the instructions to make an append to an ini file. My setup:
