Newbie can't resolve "Error / kernel (20)" issue

All went well during the installation, but then when I try to access ANY page other than the standard index page, I get the Error / kernel (20). I have tried resetting the site.ini.append.php and re-doing all the set-up process, with various site templates, but the same problem persists. Here is my installation: http://www.bastillemedia.com/dev/index.php here is a problematic URL (one of many): http://www.bastillemedia.com/dev/index.php/corporate_admin/ I am using standard URL access (not hostname or port).
