I was told that I need to upgrade my version of php because of this error message: ------------------------------- Fatal error: Call to undefined function: file_get_contents() in /home/webadmin/softballcricket.com/html/ezp/lib/eztemplate/classes/eztemplatefileresource.php on line 245Fatal error: eZ publish did not finish its request
The execution of eZ publish was abruptly ended, the debug output is present below. -------------------------------After attempting to upgrade the php version it failed and so I'm looking for help.
Could someone help me here.
ThanksNeil

Hi,
What exactly do you want to do?
Tell as more about your environment. OS, PHP version, WWW server, etc. What errors do you have?

I would like to upgrade to php version 4.3.10.
<b>The server environment</b>: Apache/1.3.27 (Unix) (Red-Hat/Linux) mod_ssl/2.8.12 OpenSSL/0.9.6 PHP/4.1.2 mod_perl/1.27 FrontPage/5.0.2.2623 <b>Operating system</b>: Linux version 2.4.20-021stab022.6.777-enterprise (st@kbuild26.eng.sw.ru) (gcc version 2.96 20000731 (Red Hat Linux 7.3 2.96-110)) #1 SMP Wed Oct 20 18:07:57 MSD 2004 <b>Host</b>Server4you-Virtual Private Server (VPS) with root access to install upgrades, software or applications.<b>WWW</b>http://www.softballcricket.com/ezp
When I attempted to do this upgrade (a most difficult task compared to EZP), I got several dependencies messages.I have EZP on another server and I'm beginning to learn how to use it and prefer it over MT. I will do almost anything to be able to complete this upgrade.

You need tutorial how to install/upgrade PHP or just ask administrator for help.IMO if you don`t know how, don`t do this alone. Security is the main reason.

There is some good installation information in the PHP manual:http://www.php.net/manual/en/install.unix.php#install.unix.apache
But you can most likely skip the apache compiling step. (step 1 to 8).

I'm still not able to complete the upgrade.
Is there a service that does this?
