Problems Installing ezpublish 3.9.0

I'm having problems getting this installed. The install wizard runs perfectly well up to the last step. At the last step the, where the ez should install and create the dbase, all I get after a long while of inactivity is;
<b>"Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. "</b>

Refreshing only starts the install wizard over again. Any ideas, anyone?
