The host won't allow SSH, or any other direct access (command prompt) to the server where my client's site is hosted. They recently upgraded php so now the clients site with eZpublish 3.5.0 won't run at all. I'm trying to upgrade eZpublish to 3.7.0 (in increments, I think I go to 3.5.1 to 3.5.2 to 3.6.0 to 3.7.0, correct?). I couldn't run the consistency checks (as the site wasn't working), but I upgraded the distribution files and database (after struggling to find a descritive enough explanation and watching the Flash tutorial). Now I'm stuck because I don't know how to run the upgrade scripts (in /update/common/scripts ). Can anyone please help me? Is there another way to run them rather than on the server with a command line, or through SSH? Would it be easier to start with a fresh install of the most recent eZpublish, and if so are there detailed instructions somewhere on how to do it?
Thanks!

Angie, you can download your site via FTP and create database dump via phpmyadmin to and do upgrade on your localhost, then you have full control. You can run PHP upgrade scripts and update database then just upload your files and database back to server. Downloading var directory is not necessary, but remember to clear the cache after upload upgraded site.
