Debian/apache/php/mysql/...

I try to synchronize my ezp install with svn but the 3.5.2 install wizard doesn't work.

First after selecting "Plain" site model, the "additional function" list proposing classes types is not showing.

Then at final step i have this error :
"
The following errors were detected:

EZSW-060Could not fetch style package named t02
EZSW-040Failed to initialize site package plain
"

Other thing is why synchronization doesn't show "extension" dir ?

Thanx for help

The reason is for each distribution the svn files get prepared by a build script.

You have to go through a manual setup when using sources from svn.

Hey Bjorn,

How does one get a copy of this svn "build" script :) ?
Or perhapse what is the process / steps involed with taking raw svn and building a solid default buid using it ...

I just spent a large chunk of last night trying to document just how you would "build" eZ publish using svn sources.

I wrote up a (very ruff) draft of my findings for you all to comment on:

<i>http://download.ezpublishhosting.com/ezideas/building_ezpublish_from_svn_sources_v1-3.txt</i>

I basically document just what dependencies are involved in the process and the steps required, along with commonly encountered problems with the process ...

The document starts to go bad towards the end where a lack of sleep and repeated build failures had me running in circles trying to figure out how to resolve these breakdowns.

I guess I was wondering if anyone (out side of eZ systems) has done this before?

I also wonder if anyone who has done this successfully might be willing to shed some light on the subject of just how to do this.

My document is a start in the right direction (more than I've ever seen before here on ez.no) but it runs into critical breakdowns towards the end which result in incomplete builds.

What is eZ system's stance on the documentation or lack there of on this process? And/Or the hard coding of eZ systems internal (password protected) resources like svn.ez.no / zev.ez.no instead of optional parameters?

I was trying to use the svn stable/3.6 sources available from http://pubsvn.ez.no/nextgen/stable/3.6

I think we will happily apply patches that fixes issues for you. The reason why we haven't fixed the issues ourselves is of lack of time..

@Frederik,

Sure, I'll build an extensive list which I'll cross post here and on the mailing list. Along with individual patchs to extend the base functionality in a flexible way.

@Everyone

I'm still looking to hear from others experiences trying to run/build using:

./bin/shell/makedist.sh
http://pubsvn.ez.no/nextgen/stable/3.6/bin/shell/makedist.sh

<i>Any takers?</i>
