To which Windows/Apache directory do I unpack eZ Publish 3

Børge Kjeldstad	Thursday 11 March 2004 2:26:49 am Im about to install eZ Publish 3 on a windows XP/Apache 2 system, and I have gotten this far in the installation guide: "Unpacking eZ publish Use your favourite tool to unpack the downloaded eZ publish package to a web-served directory (a directory that is reachable from within a web browser)." As I am completely new to Apache, I do not know what directory I should unpack eZ Publish to. Further, I do not know what Apache commands i may have to run to make Apache recognize that eZ Publish is installed. So if anyone could help me on this, I would be very grateful : ) Cheers Børge!

If you know where Apache is installed, search for a directory called htdocs. This is usually the document root of the Apache web server. Or to put it differently, this is where your browser starts looking for html documents or folders when you access the adress of you Apache server. So this is where you should unpack eZ publish: path_to_apache_directory/htdocs/your_ez_publish_directory good luck with your installation trondåge trondåge
