Hey all,
I want to upgrade from 3.5.0 to 3.5.2. Here are the steps I took and it went wrong, so please help me.

First, I upgraded to 3.5.1:
- made a backup of /design /settings etc..
- I executed the mysql file (from 3.5.0 to 3.5.1)
- Moved all the 3.5.0 files to a /3.5.0-old dir.
- I uploaded all the files of 3.5.1 in the base dir.
- I uploaded the old 3.5.0 /settings folder and /design folder over the default 3.5.1 settings and design folder.

This seems to work now.

-> Do I need to run any of the upgrade scripts? I'm unsure, so I didn't.

Then I tried upgrading to 3.5.2:
- made a backup of /design /settings etc..
- I executed the mysql file (from 3.5.1 to 3.5.2)
- Moved all the 3.5.1 files to a /3.5.1-old dir.
- I uploaded all the files of 3.5.3 in the base dir.
- I uploaded the old 3.5.1 /settings folder and /design folder over the default 3.5.2 settings and design folder.

-> What about the update scripts... do I need to run any? (didn't run them until now)

I've been getting errors like: cannot instantiate ezcontenttreenode class.

Thank you for your time, why isn't there any guide to go from 3.5.1 to 3.5.2 or am I missing someting?

Greets,
Clemens

Well,

The last time I got an error in that same situation (just a few weeks ago) I had a problem with incorrect database settings and eZ publish could not make a connection to the database.

Check you 'settings/override/site.in.append.php' either pointing to the wrong siteaccess.

The detection method: vhost, dns name was either pointing to the wrong siteaccess 'settings/siteaccess/corporate_user/site.ini.append.php' or (more specificly the problem) my database name, db user and db pass were using the old settings instead of the newly created (and/or updated database) ... <i>aka could not connect to the database.</i>

It made sense when I fixed the error but the error result itself was not clear at all!

Check your settings configuration. I wager that is where the errors lies.

<b>Only move the setting override and siteaccess folders</b>

Also I would only move over your <b>/settings/override</b> and <b>/settings/siteaccess/*</b> folders over individually.

Because most versions of eZ publish releases new settings into the settings/ folder and you just over wrote them without a thought :)
