Hello

I would like to find out how I can integrate PayPal Business Account with eZ 3.4.2. Can I use the eZ PayPal extention that comes with 3.5.+ or has someone done it using 3.4.2?

I have looked through the documentation both the new one and the old one but I'm not too confident with overrides and all that technical stuff.

I will appreciate any support in this area.

We are a (small)start up travel company and we are willing to organise whoever helps us with this problem and other eZ publish related problems with a holiday to Southren Africa. Our current prefered destination is Zambia.

The only condition we have is that you buy your own airline ticket and we will give you a weeks(7 days) holiday on safari for one of the best safari holidays in Africa plus get a chance to view one of the seven wonders of the world, The Mosi-ao-Tunya falls also known as Victoria falls.

More info contact lyuminak@yahoo.com

Thanks in Advance.

I don't think you'll have any problem setting up the PayPal extension - just apply for a test account with them first.

Not interested in the holiday but someone must be!!!

Hello Steve P

Thanks a lot for the feedback. I managed to apply, get and test the sandbox developer account with paypal.

Where do I go from here? How do I then connect the two together? Do I use the paypal extention that comes with 3.5.+ if so how do I obtain the ez paypal extention and connect it to ez and paypal?

I have used a contrib site style extention, does that help or is it the same with the ez paypal extention. I'm using version 3.4.2

Any feedback will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

BTW, the holiday offer still stands to whoever is interested.

First check you don't already have it installed: admin/settings/extensions. If not see the docs: http://ez.no/products/ez_publish_cms/documentation/building_an_ez_publish_shop/extending_the_shop_with_a_paypal_payment_service/adding_the_payment_service_to_the_shop

You then just need to do a basic mod to the extension to add your account details.

Can you give me the url of your test site?

Best

Steve

Hello Steve P

I checked the eZ demo site and it does have the ezpaypal extension however in the version I'm using which is 3.4.2 there is no ez paypal extension. How do I resolve this? I looked at the documentation article in the last post you wrote about but the article starts with

"Extract the eZPaypal extension in the "[ezpublish_root]/extension" directory. Create this directory if it does not exist."

Where do I find this extension to extract??

Or should I start thinking of upgrading to 3.5.+? I was told upgrading from 3.4.2 to 3.5.+ creates problems and my skills in that area are limited too? How do I solve this problem??
