Hi,
I have 3.6.0 11973 installed for an intranet. If I put the search terms 'steve' into the basic search I get one result.
If I put this search term into the advanced search it returns nothing, not even a message saying 'couldnt find any matches'.
Looked at the bug reports and saw:

but 3.6.1 isnt available and I cant be sure this is the same problem.
Has anyone else observed this issue and is there a fix for it?

If you have Template Compiling turned off, this could very well be the same problem. If so, either turn on Template Compile (from Global Settings in the admin interface) or change the line as I suggest in the bug report.
