Form process timeout

Hi

I have a form whose contents are supposed to be mailed to a pre-configured address. I've done everything according to this page:

I've also enabled form processing and given the anonymous user permission to send emails. However, when I try to submit the form it gives a timeout. I'm thinking that there may be some problems with the connection between eZ Publish and my smtp server. How can I get some information? Are there any logs or any other way to debug?

Also if anyone thinks it could be other thing I would appreciate if you can tell me.
