I'd like to create (or use an existing) classe where an attribute is URL and another XML block. I then enter the URL and the external XML found at that URL is copied in the XML block for further display in my page. Any help much appreciated

By selecting an entry in this dropdown, the user stores the unique identifier from the XML file. This identifier can then be used to fetch the complete record from the XML file, combining it with the information stored in the content object. Maybe you could use the same approach in your project?
