I want anonymous users to be able tho add products in their basket and view it's contents. But when they choose checkout they should be forced to register a user to continue the process.
I'm unable to get this working in 3.6, is it possible?
Thanks in advance :)

have you tried user accounts, roles and policies set:
shop all functions No limitations
for anonymous users?

Thanks for your reply :)
This seems to produce the same result as having the policy, shop -> buy on Anonymous role. This works but it still does not force the user to register.
What I really want to happen when the user checkout is a redirection to /user/login.
Me best guess is that this can be done with policies but I'm unable to find the correct combination.

I think I got a little to hung up in policies. I think the solution is to use a different shopaccounthandler. (This setting is found in the shopaccount.ini file)
I've tried using ezdefault, but then I'm no longer able to add items to the basket and/or view it. Even though I give anonymous user no limits in the shop module
Do I have to roll my own shopaccounthandler?

No new handler is needed ezdefault seems to do the trick, what I experienced was as follows (and I must say it behaves a bit strange):
- Add products - View basket- Checkout
on checkout /user/register is shown, if you ignore it and contine to add products in your basket your are no longer able to view it's contents .....
