I'm developing a site locally, on my laptop using easyPhp (bundle of Apache + MySql + Php). Maybe I'll transfer this site on another server, with as OS linux. Is there a simply way to do a secure migration with different platform or is better build the site directly on the linux server?
Thank you,
Salvatore

Hi Salvatore,
There is no problem migrating your ezp setup to any machine running apache, mysql and php and compatible OS
Just check version of apache, mysql and php in the new server, for instance you should't run ezp with php < 4.3.x, and can't run on php 5, so just take a look a ezp software requirements page here at ez.no
Also it is recommended to setup php as apache module instead of php - cgi

When I moved a site from Linux to Windows server I had some problems with GD and ImageMagic. If you have problems like this you should check ImageConverters[] settings in:
settings/image.ini
But if the Apache + PHP + MySql versions and configurations are the same (or similar enough) on both servers then everything should go O.K.

Salvatore, one way is to simply do a backup ( then upload the backup ) and do a restore to your destination server.http://ez.no/doc/ez_publish/technical_manual/3_6/installation/upgrading
