Hi

I posted this a while ago: http://ez.no/community/forum/setup_design/ez_publish_used_as_slideshow/re_ez_publish_used_as_slideshow__1

This answered my question, but now I realised that I had to do it another way.

To sum it up: I have a computer with a huge monitor that displays a slideshow with a few slides. Today we use powerpoint, but I want to replace PP with eZ publish to be able to update news remotely without stopping the slideshow.

The case is that I don't know how many slides it will be. Sometimes 2, sometimes 5.

How could I make a template that displays each node within a top-node in a loop and displays it x seconds each? The redirection itself isn't a problem, but I'm not sure how to redirect to the next page, and the last page must redirect to the first page (within the top-node)

regards
Frode

Hello Frode

If you really have only 2 to 5 nodes below each topnode I would do it the inefficient but simple way:
Just fetch all the nodes below the the topnode and order them by whatever order you have. Then go through all these nodes and compare the node ids to the currently displayed node. If you have a match, take the next node and redirect to it. If there is no next node redirect to the first node.

Hi

Yes, that was the idea. I'll try to make some code that does this :)

Hi,

Have a look at the image template, and how it calculates the next button.

BTW,

Did you think about doing it only as a pure html slideshow ?

There is another version, from someone at the W3C if my memory serves me right.

Thank you so much. The reason I want to use eZp, is that the user can publish news in a user friendly frontend.

Actually, I was thinking about the image gallery template myself. That really does what I want. I will also look into that link you gave me and I'm sure there are some good tips there as well.
