We had performance problems and turned on view caching which greatly improved upon the speed. However, when someone posts a new article to a particular news site it doesn't show up. I also tried to clear the cache through the web admin side and that didn't work. I finally figured out I can use the command line script to clear the cache and that seems to work (--clear-all). Is there any way I can get the new article posted to the site when it is published?

Check that you have the correct settings in content.ini for this.
