Dear Community,
I write today to query other users of ez.no about the status of searching the ez.no site.
Original Title: Improved Search / Advanced Search features for increased usability
- Remember / Set User Preference for Search's Display Per Page Setting
I prefer searching at a threshold of 25/50 items, it's frustrating and repetitive to always have to manually set this setting each time I search.
- Section Dependant Searching : Could use a flag to disable and rerun the previous failed query string.
It seems that often when I'm navigating through ez.no I'll get an idea and use the current page's search field to query a term that is littered through the ez.no site but will get a "No results were found when searching for . . ." when I know for a fact that if I search from a different section I will get the results my subconscious is guiding me too. - Advanced Search Link Omits the SearchText : After an initial search is performed, the link to the advanced search should contain the SearchText Variable and the SearchString from the previously submitted search, to allow the user to not have to enter the search query text a 2nd time after they click the link for the advanced search. Alternately I've found that one may find better results searching ez.no through google:

StuartDH : I don't know what it is about the ez.no site...it just feels really difficult to find the right info
StuartDH: You end up having to do searches than return a hundred entries (k: or none at all depending on the section you search from)
brookinsconsulting: ez.no can be hard to search, I'll create a write up in a few days that addresses some of the common user problems with finding information through the search on ez.no It would be great if others would relive their experiences searching and cross searching ez.no for information.
