'Media | Images' in Toolbar Node List

I thought it would be a good idea to use this <b>folder</b> in a node_list in my right toolbar. I was disappointed to find that when I used this folder, my toolbar item was empty, even though there are plenty of images in the folder. It seems that only images in a gallery work in toolbars. Currently, for my toolbar to contain the "latest images", I have to either manually add new images to the gallery specified in the toolbar or create new a new gallery and change the toolbar specification. By being able to use the 'Media library \| Images' folder, I can literally display the latest images with no extra effort.
