How can I fetch articles in a period of time?

Hello!

Please, How can I fetch all articles in my site in a period of time?

Eg: I need all articles that <b>was published</b> in my intranet company last month, All articles <b>from 08/01/2004 until 08/31/2004</b>

I want only the objects that was published in this period.

Does it possible?
Could you give me some help, idea?
