I'd like to send out new content notifications that match content item attributes (ie title/node name). Has anyone done anything like this? I couldn't find anything in the contribs.
I figured I'd probably have to write a notification handler to do this, but there is little in the way of examples or documentation that I could find.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

Hi,
Bug me about this in a week or so, I'll be off-line for a while. We once had ez create exactly that, but should port it to the 3.8 series and improve a few things.

Hey Paul,
Just wanted to bug you about that code you mentioned you might have had re: notifications. Was it an extension?

Tx for bugging, it is on our todo list now :-))
It is an additional notification handler which lives in kernel/classes/notification/handler/<customhandlerdir>
I can't promise to have it out very soon, but it should be before the summer conference if all goes well
