INSTALLATION ERROR | Setup fails at step "Site package"

You may upload packages manually. Remote repository URL: http://packages.ez.no/ezpublish/4.0/4.0.1rc1 I have manually change the attribute to 777 for the package folder and uploaded corporate_site.ezpkg ezflow_democontent.ezpkg but nothing works Anyhelp anyone :D?

The above question about manual install has been asked over and over and over and still the documentation does not include manual install instructions (and installer error message has them neither although it would be perfect place for it). What if i dont want ez publish install to "report home" every time i install it? Is there a option to disable this or is pulling the network cable the only way? As for actual reply to the question - i know correct path to extract package files is mentioned in forum somewhere, could not find it on first try tho, keep trying. Which is not allowed by the web-hosted server causing the wizard to crash (reporting something java-like: ...missing tomcat engine...). Found that problem was in: function eZStepSiteTypes. Solution: Comment away this function in: kernel/setup/steps/ezstep_site_types.php Not the most elegant way to do it, I guess, but it works. You will proceed and have the opportunity to upload the site files to the setup wizard from your local computer. I think these files need to be taken care of by the wizard, have not found any obvious folder where to upload them. The site files/packages you may first find and download from here (for eZ 4.2): http://ez.no/download/ez_publish/ez_publish_4_stable_releases/4_2/packages/4_2_0 Start with the file ezwebin_extension and alike, then all the required dependencies will be listed by the wizard. (Somehow, the wizard still don't get past the second-last step before a similar error occurs, but as nearly everything is working ok afterwards I have chosen to disregard this fact.)
